Industrial-Strength Degreaser

BIO-TECH degreaser is a powerful, yet environmentally friendly, cleaning solution. Bio-degradable degreaser formulated with biodegradable surfactants, it effectively removes grease, oil, and grime from various surfaces. Ideal for engine cleaning, engineering applications, and general workshop maintenance. Its non-abrasive formula is safe for metals, plastics, and rubber. An optimised blend of biodegradable surfactants, with optimum cleaning efficiency on soils such as grease and oil. BIO-TECH will often replace volatile solvent-based products particularly when an oily soil contains a lot of grease and grime.

The applications for BIO-TECH DEGREASER include but are not limited to:

  • Engine cleaning
  • Engineering cleaning
  • All-purpose cleaning
  • Oil spills
  • Workshop floors and waste disposal systems

BIO-TECH DEGREASER can be used with high pressure cleaning equipment. Heavy stains and deposits may have to be removed with light agitation or high-pressure water. In some instances, a 10 – 15 minute dwell period may be required.

BIO-TECH DEGREASER:

  • Is completely biodegradable.
  • Contains no solvent, ammonia or caustic soda thus there are no harmful vapours or strong odours.
  • Does not damage rubber, plastic, paint or metal. It is an excellent mag wheel and tyre cleaner, and is non-abrasive.

Light-Duty Cleaning 1 : 10 parts water
Medium-Duty Cleaning 1 : 7 parts water
Heavy-Duty Cleaning 1 : 4 parts water

  • Temperatures below 5oC and above 30oC
  • Direct sunlight
  • Acids, bases, oxidising agents, reducing agents

HAZARDS

  • Inhalation: May cause irritation.
  • Skin: May cause sensitisation. May also be a skin irritant.
  • Eyes: Highly Irritating and risk of irreversible damage.
  • Ingestion: Irritating to the mucous membranes in the mouth and gastrointestinal tract.

PRECAUTIONS

Prolonged contact with skin may cause dryness. Contact with eyes may cause irritation, and ingestion has a low acute toxicity. In case of contact with skin and eyes, flush with plenty of water.

  • Do not ingest
  • Avoid contact with eyes, skin, and clothing
  • Wear impervious gloves (e.g. Nitrile)
  • Keep out of reach of children, and away from food and food contact areas
  • Appropriate PPE when handling product
  • Respiratory protection: N/A
  • Hand protection: Use impervious, chemical resistant rubber gloves (e.g. Nitrile)
  • Eye protection: Use face shield & goggles or full-face respirator/hood. Avoid direct contact
  • Skin and body protection: Use protective clothing and barrier cream

FIRST AID MEASURES

  • Inhalation: Move to fresh air. In case of discomfort, seek medical attention
  • Skin contact: Flush with plenty of water. Remove contaminated clothing. Use a skin cleaner. In severe cases refer to a doctor
  • Eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, and refer to a doctor
  • Ingestion: Wash mouth with plenty of water. Do not induce vomiting. Refer immediately to a doctor

STORAGE

  • The shelf life is 24 months for unopened containers stored under moderate temperature conditions. Store only in original containers
  • Keep container tightly closed in a dry and well-ventilated place. Containers that are opened must be carefully resealed and kept upright to prevent leakage
  • Store between 5°C and 30°C, away from direct sunlight
  • Do not store or use with the following product types: Acids, oxidizing agents, reducing agents. Keep away from food and drink. Keep out of reach of children and pets
