Industrial-Strength Rust Remover and Metal Prep

PROCESS 404 is a powerful acid-based cleaner designed to remove rust and prepare metal surfaces for painting. It’s ideal for a variety of applications, including structural steel, heavy-gauge steel, and equipment. Excellent for derusting and preparing metal surfaces for painting; removing patches of rust from cold rolled steel; inhibiting rust on steel moulds following cleaning; preventing rerusting of steel prior to painting; derusting heat exchangers and storage tank and truck tank interiors; and for removing rust and conditioning surfaces which are partially painted, prior to repainting. Process 404 is particularly adaptable to structural and heavy- gauge steel. Rust/scale remover leaves “key” for painting.

  • Concentration – Use Process 404 direct to surface
  • Operating Temperature – Ambient
  • Contact Time – 30mins – Agitate surface with brush to reduce cleaning time
  • Method – Brush-on or immersion, rinse thoroughly to remove
  • Equipment – Corrosion resistant container of crockery, paint brush
  • Temperatures below 5oC and above 30oC
